For over 40 years, I have devoted my artistic passions to servicing clients and customers with a desire for masterfully handcrafted jewelry inspired by the West African tradition.  Clymer Metal Crafts was originally conceived as a family business with the purpose of producing African inspired jewelry for the entire family. From the very beginning, I recruited my family in the continuation of the business – along the way teaching them the importance of hard work, self-empowerment, and pride in their African culture.

 

My original works included necklaces, bracelets, and earrings using fine silver, brass, copper, bronze, and African Trade beads with intricate patterns.  Over the decades I have expanded my repertoire to include more complex metal smithing processes, including a variety of tooling and chasing methods, and specialized soldering techniques. Most of my pieces are now crafted using fine silver .999 and other materials such as gold filling, semiprecious stones, and crystals.
